Rockset has dispelled this conventional wisdom. Its core IP is its converged index, which includes search, row, and column indices that operate simultaneously in real-time. The result is fast SQL-based analytics on real-time data.
The platform offers schemaless ingestion and outputs results via a REST API and SDK as well as SQL over JDBC. In addition, Rockset can pre-aggregate data upon ingestion, leveraging a simple SQL query that acts as a lightweight real-time transformation on incoming data feeds.
