Clastix: Kubernetes Multitenancy and Self-Service Kubernetes-as-a-Service

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Clastix is driving two open-source efforts.

Capsule is a policy-based multitenancy platform for Kubernetes. It enables platform engineers to set up separate tenants within a single cluster that appear to developers like individual clusters with their own namespaces.

Kamaji is a multitenancy orchestrator for running Kubernetes at scale. It is a self-service tool for cloud providers, giving them the ability to offer Kubernetes-as-a-service within individual tenants to their customers.

Commercial enterprise versions of these projects are still on Clastix’s roadmap.
