HAProxy is well-known for its load balancer and application delivery controller open-source offerings and associated enterprise products.
For Kubernetes, HAProxy technology serves as an ingress controller for north/south communications (between Kubernetes and endpoints external to it).
HAProxy is now extending its ingress controller functionality to east/west communications (microservice to microservice within Kubernetes) as well.
The HAProxy enterprise version also offers a web application firewall, DDoS protection, cluster-wide tracking, and other features.
