Graphiant provides programmable network connectivity for enterprise WANs, hybrid clouds, B2B networks, and edge computing via an as-a-Service offering that runs in global network interconnect data centers and public clouds.
This service delivers a policy-based control plane that leverages Graphiant’s Stateless Core – a new network connectivity architecture that leverages Graphiant metadata protocols at OSI level 3.5.
OSI 3.5 requires IP but not TCP, and in fact, the Stateless Core leverages UDP for better performance.
The Stateless Core leverages cloud compute for the control plane to take advantage of cloud scale but pushes the data plane to enterprise colo facilities or the edge as appropriate, in order to reduce ingress and egress costs and provide better performance at the edge.
