Loko: Combining Computer Vision and AI-Driven Behavioral Analysis to Identify Behaviors in Videos

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Identifying specific human behaviors in video feeds is at the cutting edge of AI business applications today.

Loko goes well beyond established deep learning approaches to recognizing video content by using AI to represent and simulate human behavior to generate realistic synthetic data to train its models.

Using the Unreal Engine real-time 3-D creation engine, Loko can convert 2D videos into realistic 3D representations of the human behaviors and other activities in those videos.

For example, Loko can take police active shooter videos and flesh them out to detect particular behaviors, like whether an individual is holding a gun vs. holding a mobile phone.

In addition to such public safety and military applications, Loko’s use cases cover a wide range of industries, from optimizing warehouse and supply chain processes to analyzing the gait of Alzheimer’s patients for diagnostic purposes.
