A Brain Candy Update
Everybody already has observability tools, in fact they probably already have four or more running within their extended cloud application estate. Mezmo is seeking to address the data logjam so many different telemetry sources can create, announcing their new observability pipeline offering at KubeCon 2022 North America.
Since we last covered Mezmo in June 2022 and 2019 (when they were LogDNA) this early entrant in the cloud chapter of log data management has continued to shift its focus left, addressing the needs of real-time analytics and incident investigation activities by pre-processing, filtering, correlation and routing of almost any source to any destination.
AIOps-style early processing of data while it is still streaming through the pipeline should save some ingress and cloud storage costs to be sure, but the real value here is in what DevSecOps and SRE professionals can take action on when armed with relevant data at the earliest possible moment.
