Nacelle: Headless, Composable eCommerce with GraphQL-Friendly Architecture

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Nacelle offers a headless (API-based) eCommerce platform that supports composable back-end elements and front-end channels.

Nacelle logo Intellyx BCUnlike other headless platforms that support front-ends via RESTful APIs, Nacelle supports GraphQL – a modern replacement for REST that enables service consumers to specify the data they require from the API.

By architecting its platform to support GraphQL, Nacelle has turned eCommerce ‘inside out,’ in that Nacelle integrates with any back-end application (including product information management, content management, order management, and ERP) while supporting multiple marketing channels and diverse front-end endpoints.

The Nacelle platform itself handles basic data infrastructure capabilities like transformation, indexing, and supporting a common data model, empowering end-users to access any capabilities available from the back-end applications via the flexibility and customer centricity of GraphQL.
