An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
When we first interviewed Armory in September 2019, it was focused on commercializing the open-source Spinnaker continuous delivery platform.
It still supports Spinnaker, but now Armory focuses on its continuous deployment (CD) offering that provides cross-environment orchestration.
Armory takes a YAML-based declarative approach to configuring deployment environments. For example, it automatically sets up canary and blue/green environments for modern production testing and deployment. It can also automate rollbacks, even across multiple environments.
Armory handles hybrid environments that include AWS and on-premises (as well as Ali Baba’s cloud for its Chinese customers).
Armory works with Kubernetes deployments via HELM. It also integrates with Git as well as most CI/CD tooling.
