An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
Dig Security provides a data security platform that discovers and classifies assets across an organization’s multi-cloud data estate, in order to identify risks, detect threats and respond to breaches.
The twin threats of cyberattacks and compliance failures are driving companies to take stock of their global cloud data estates, which can consist of all kinds of static stores and streaming data sources that are self-provisioned on hyperscalers or managed by DBaaS vendors.
Working through the tenant’s cloud account interface in a read-only manner rather than installing agents or acting as a proxy, Dig’s dashboard allows teams to sort and visualize cloud data resources across global regions and remote outposts, reviewing vulnerabilities and potential compliance events.
SecOps teams can further run scenarios for “what should never happen” to data in order to refine a data security posture and incident response playbooks, which can kick off alerts or automate remediation activities if a severe issue is detected.
The platform’s demonstrably simple deployment process and non-invasive architecture, plus a tight focus on cloud data security versus attempting to replace existing security and access management tools is earning this fairly recent but fast growing startup some blue chip customers.
