Gigamon: Deep network observability for hybrid cloud security

Gigamon logoAn Intellyx BrainCandy Update

Finding security and performance anomalies in a hybrid cloud application stack that combines data from cloud and on-prem services and servers is really hard. Metrics can be deceiving, and logs can lead you astray, depending on how you sample them.

But ask Gigamon, and they can still boil it down to the network engineer’s maxim of “packets don’t lie.”

Since our last briefing with this network monitoring and observability vendor in 2019, the firm has released a new cloud native suite of tools for Kubernetes clusters, honing in the conversations between Docker containers and other microservices, as well as the traditional network traffic of on-prem servers and core systems.

There’s a useful network observability dashboard included, but many of the firm’s partners will appreciate this suite’s interoperability and application-level network context when added to the leading observability and SIEM tools on the market.
