An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
When we last wrote about Gigamon in March 2018, the vendor’s focus was on how its deep network visibility technology provided important data for improving cloud security.
Today, it’s leveraging this knowledge about network traffic to provide greater visibility into application behavior. Its platform works with several thousand applications (both SaaS and on-premises) out of the box. This platform also generates thousands of application metadata elements that correspond to application interactions.
Customers can configure Gigamon’s application-level visibility to work with custom apps, thus providing comprehensive visibility into application network traffic as well as its context – data than can then feed into partners’ tools like application performance management for visualization and control.
Gigamon’s application-level visibility finally connects the company to the customer experience of users accessing applications, and thus the vendor can rightly position itself as supporting the digital transformation of its customers.
