Gigamon: Early long-range zero trust data awareness

Gigamon logoAn Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Gigamon is continuing to expand its deep network observability with new features for securely monitoring and separating pre-encrypted data, and optimizing the ‘first mile’ of data filtering and ingest into its zero-trust security information pipeline.

A universal container tap (or UCT) that runs on eBPF within the Linux kernel is part of the secret sauce that makes Gigamon useful within other leading security and observability platforms, allowing them to scan extended east-west network architectures to protect highly distributed hybrid cloud infrastructures, in addition to more common north-south and perimeter security fencings.

Their early data processing strategy is paying off for customers, as it allows them to improve the signal-to-noise ratio of alerts within their observability platforms of choice, while gaining east-west visibility, as well as drastically reducing data center costs and storage requirements.
