Aryaka: Global Private Internet Backbone with Built-in Secure Access Service Edge

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

A lot has changed since we last wrote about Aryaka in March 2017. At the time, the company’s main story was software defined wide-area networking (SD-WAN). In the intervening time, SD-WAN has largely been subsumed into the secure access service edge (SASE) category, which also includes web application firewall (WAF) functionality.

Today, Aryaka offers a global wide-area private Internet backbone with built-in SASE capabilities. Its backbone leverages dozens of points of presence (PoPs) around the globe and offers both layer 2 and layer 3 connectivity among them.

This backbone offers Aryaka customers the security and performance benefits of a private WAN that connects to endpoints around the world. Furthermore, unlike many SASE products on the market that consist of awkwardly combined products, Aryaka has built its SASE from the ground up as a unified offering the company delivers via an as-a-Service model.
