Cloudbrink: Edge-Native, Secure Hybrid Access as a Service

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Cloudbrink provides secure, reliable Internet connectivity via over 600 global points of presence (PoPs), combined with a downloadable application that serves as an intelligent personal software-defined wide-area network (SD-WAN) endpoint.

Cloudbrink uses machine learning to determine the closest PoP to a particular device for optimal latency. The PoPs themselves are software-only and compute-neutral, and they can run in clouds, on the cloud edge, or in near edge locations that host edge gateways.

The Cloudbrink architecture is similar to that of content delivery networks (CDNs), except the far edge devices themselves serve as the cloud endpoints for optimal flexibility and performance.

Cloudbrink can address slow code check-ins, slow virtual desktops, frozen video, and slow VPN connectivity, among other use cases. Cloudbrink is especially useful in hybrid work scenarios, as it can give individuals working remotely the same security and user experience as being on their corporate LAN.
