An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Ambiq is continuing its drive to develop highly optimized low-power application delivery platforms for pushing advanced work to an ever-increasing variety of edge devices and smart IoT implementations.
Since our last update with them in 2022, the company has found new ways to reduce power consumption while improving compute power on remote device form factors. When developers implement analytical and inferencing capabilities onto miniaturized endpoints, they pay attention to sensory inputs that matter and only use power to wake up or transmit data when absolutely necessary.
Performance and synchronicity of device data is further improved by this unique ability to develop local logic models that work on locally captured data, which recovers seconds of valuable response time formerly spent on round trip requests to the cloud or a core system.
Recently the firm announced their new Apollo4 Lite and Blue Life SoCs (or system-on-chips) to support healthcare-specific use cases such as patient tracking devices, and remote monitoring for glucose or blood pressure indicators.
