An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
SmartBear continues on its mission of improving application design, development and operational visibility across the DevOps lifecycle by unifying its expansive acquired product toolsets with new workspaces in the form of three hubs for software testing, development and production readiness.
In our last two briefings with SmartBear in 2022 and 2020, they were busy integrating firms that brought in contract testing and progressive web testing with Pactflow and BugSnag, and the widely used API community SwaggerHub, to name just a few of the many testing and development tools that exist underneath this brand.
Nobody would say it’s easy to clearly define a solution suite from so many different tools. However, the acquisitive firm is doing its own net-new development to add new features such as AI-based visual testing to its test hub, a design-time API explorer and API portal view to its development hub, and RUM (real user monitoring) and observability additions for production teams to deliver a more cohesive user experience.
