Since our last coverage of Dasera in 2021,the company has moved quickly from detecting and preventing data misuse, to applying an estate-wide view of data architectures that abstracts away the heavy cognitive load that accompanies the identification of all forms of data risk.
Enterprises can discover data sources, analyze the millions of queries flowing to them, then construct a locally curated metadata matrix for ensuring compliance and mitigating dangerous data exposure within applications, analytics, and security workflows.
The big analyst firm categorizes them as a digital security posture management (or DSPM) vendor, but the problem space is broader than that. Dasera now provides behavioral query visibility and certification help for several other well-known data solutions including AIM, data integration, observability, and security dashboards which also hold and manage petabytes of data themselves.
