An Intellyx BrainCandy Update
Since our last coverage of EvolveWare in 2022 and 2021, the modernization firm reacted to changes in how customers are prioritizing the understanding of metadata and business logic locked up in monoliths, ahead of the decision whether or not refactoring code or rebuilding software from scratch are warranted.
Their Intellysys software can automate metadata extraction from legacy COBOL apps or modern code like C# and Java, but more importantly, it can optimize how that metadata is collected and managed with an eye to identifying workflows and business rules prior to modernization.
By treading this fine line with metadata through their management interface, customers can realize that not all monoliths need to be converted to microservices at the same time and prioritize modernization processes. Resulting components and code are self-contained with documentation of the modernization process included, and do not require a proprietary platform to run.
