Since we last covered Kubermatic in November 2023, the company has increased its focus on its multicluster Kubernetes deployment automation capabilities.
Kubermatic helps organizations deploy (day 1) and manage (day 2) hundreds of Kubernetes clusters across environments, including clouds, on-premises, and edge-based Kubernetes deployments.
The company provides a hosted control plane for single pane of glass management simplicity. The tool works with multiple open-source projects, as well as customer-provided software components.
For edge computing use cases, Kubermatic provides a centralized management cluster as well as individual cluster control planes at different edge locations.
The company champions the KubeOne open-source project, which provides simple cluster ramp-up. The commercial product adds support for multiple data centers as well as advanced policy management and backup capabilities.
