Torq: Democratizing Responsible Access to Security Automation

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since we last covered Torq in April 2023, the company has extended its Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) replacement platform beyond SOC-based security professionals to any trained employee, enabling organizations to extend responsibility for security to anyone in the organization.

Even though first-generation SOAR tools provide some automation, Torq simplifies and extends security automation capabilities leveraging its low-code studio as well as continually maintained integrations with numerous security tools.

Torq then combines this ‘hyperautomation’ capability with real-time contextual enrichment of security-related events, thus reducing alert fatigue while improving the mean time to detection (MTTD) of meaningful events as well as quicker mean time to resolution (MTTR).

Torq is powerful enough for seasoned security pros while also being simple enough for both junior security personnel as well as non-technical people across the organization, in large part because of its generative AI-based conversational capabilities.
