An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Since we last wrote about Tigera, they have integrated with SIEM tools and added a new dashboard for improved observability.
Tigera’s product line is based on the Calico open source project, which Tigera staff currently maintains. Calico specifically targets container security and networking solutions.
Calico, in turn, is based on eBPF, which is a powerful technology using Linux kernel access for fine grained observability and network control.
Tigera detects container and Kubernetes misconfigurations such as access related vulnerabilities and recommends remediation actions.
Tigera also detects network security issues such as the presence of malware in network packets, cross-site scripting, and cryptographic attacks.
Integration with SIEM tools such as Crowdstrike provides a source of threat feeds, which Tigera evaluates and scores for priority risks.
The container networking solution provides secure connections across containers and pods in public cloud and hybrid environments, including Kubernetes cluster egress controls.
Tigera supports security policy as code, integrating with CI/CD pipelines. The new analytics dashboard provides network visibility and observability for traffic flows.
