An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Caspio was one of the very first significant players in the low-code app development space, and since our previous coverage of the firm in 2021 and 2018, they have focused on producing the security, compliance, data management, integration and hybrid cloud deployment trimmings necessary for producing enterprise-grade applications without requiring coding.
Blurring the lines between no-code and low-code is done quite intentionally here. Most of Caspio’s customers actually do build robust apps without coding at all: intuitively building UIs, user actions and connections in a drag-and-drop view, taking advantage of the platform’s identity management connectivity, security controls and scalability, while leveraging the firm’s well-developed service arm and support knowledge for expert help.
The low-code development mode becomes evident when there are connections to external APIs and data sources, or deployments to bespoke architectures needed. A new AI assistant comes in here to help lift away the development toil of customization and operation, for instance in automating data preparation, gathering user feedback and gauging customer sentiment, or generating content to fill in fields and user instructions.
