Fermyon is now partnering with Akamai, the leading cloud computing platform and edge network.
Fermyon’s platform leverages WebAssembly to deliver serverless deployment capabilities with fast start times as compared to competing serverless platforms like AWS Lambda.
When running on the Akamai edge, customers get the low latency of the Akamai network combined with the speed of Fermyon for blisteringly fast serverless performance.
This combined capability is especially useful for edge-based AI inferencing, leveraging Akamai’s edge-based GPU infrastructure.
