Augmate offers device management for IoT devices, beginning with smart glasses and other wearables. An early partner of Google and its Google Glass product, Augmate has extended its reach to a wide range of glasses, watches, and other wearables, in particular for industrial use in situations where personnel must have two hands free for their work.
The capabilities Augmate offers are familiar from the Mobile Device Management market, including remote wipe, remote provisioning, user management, and other capabilities especially important for enterprise uses of wearables and other IoT devices.
Augmate is now in the process of launching an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) to fund further product development, leveraging blockchain or other distributed ledger technologies to manage the vast quantities of data that IoT devices can produce, while implementing a distributed ledger-based software licensing system.
