An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
Krista offers AI-based business process orchestration that uses natural language for training, thus enabling organizations to build automations that leverage tribal knowledge.
Krista’s approach to conversational AI predates the generative AI (genAI) wave by several years.
We first covered the company in August 2020, when they had just introduced conversation-based automation.
By August 2021, Krista’s story struggled to focus on business outcomes.
Then in July 2023, I remarked that conversational AI had transformed the IT landscape, and Krista’s Wayne Gretzky ‘skate to where the puck is going’ move had proven prescient.
Today, genAI has progressed to the point that people are recognizing its weaknesses as well as its strengths.
It’s good at producing plausible text that summarizes data in response to prompts. But genAI suffers from hallucinations – and furthermore, is notoriously poor at generating business logic.
To address these issues, Krista’s conversational AI approach to business process orchestration fills the gaps in genAI.
Where genAI can provide relevant information in response to a prompt, Krista can provide answers – and furthermore, can complete tasks that require execution of business logic.
For example, ask genAI whether you can take parental leave and it will respond with a summary of your organization’s parental leave policy.
Ask Krista the same question, you’ll get a yes or no answer with an explanation – or perhaps relevant questions that get you to that answer.
