In a recent article on CIO.com Charles Araujo states his personal opinion on the continued relevance of the ITIL framework in the context of modern day business models focusing on increased digitalization 
and innovation. He asks the question “Is This ITIL’s Last Gasp?” but it is fairly clear from his article that this is not a question but a statement to the contrary, he claims his views are backed up by the organizations and senior leaders he consults with and advises. “These organizations spend little time focused on efficiency and optimization – the traditional value drivers of ITSM but rather are laser focused on agility and adaptability.”
