ParaSQL: A Model-Driven, Data-First, Low-Code Platform for Complex Data-Centric Applications

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

While there is now a wide range of technology companies offering so-called low-code application development platforms, few of them are targeting the type of highly complex, data-centric applications that organizations use to manage the intricate business processes that lie at the center of their operations. These complex application use cases often involve hundreds of tables and require interactions with layers of nested records.

ParaSQL has developed a model-driven, data-first low-code development platform to help organizations quickly develop and manage these types of complex, data-centric applications. The company’s data-first ethos is evident in its ability to inherit key-based database relationships, its ability to rapidly define data structures and nested relationships, and its ability to create virtual tables that represent external data sources accessed via application programming interfaces (APIs).

These virtual tables enable users to create a single database that represents both native data elements and data elements from multiple external sources. This abstraction removes complexity, increases performance, and enables developers to rapidly create applications regardless of the complexity of the underlying data structures.
