Tufin: Policy-Based Container Security Automation with Orca

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Tufin Orca logo - Intellyx Brain CandyThe ability to define and string together multiple business services and drop them into cloud-based containers and microservices increases the rate of software delivery. It also potentially offers an increased attack surface for security threats.

The Tufin answer to this problem is to continuously monitor and trap for any risks introduced by development and operations teams in a distributed software architecture by policy. They have been running cloud-based solutions for software delivery environments for years.

We met them at Kubecon 2018 where they were demonstrating how their new Tufin Orca solution, which conducts vulnerability scanning and compliance validation during every CI/CD cycle, can then take policy-based action to any discovered exception, including alerting workflows and failing builds in containers and Kubernetes pods.
