Virtual Instruments: Application-Centric Infrastructure Performance Management

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Application Performance Management (APM) and Infrastructure Performance Management (IPM) are generally two separate tools, even though many vendors in one category or the other have attempted to bridge them.

Virtual Instruments achieves this combination with its application-centric approach to IPM. It gives operators single-dashboard visibility into their applications, identifying which applications are running, where they are running, and how they are impacting the infrastructure.

The company also offers a workload simulation product that enables organizations to understand the impact of new or changed workloads, or of migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud.

The combination of these capabilities affords Virtual Instruments’ customers with the ability to take a workload-centric approach to infrastructure management – an essential capability for any hybrid IT strategy.
