New Relic: Digitally Transformative AI Ops for DevOps in Hybrid Cloud

Pardon the buzzword-bingo headline, but when New Relic started up 11 years ago, it could legitimately claim to be a first-mover in a new class of monitoring and performance tools built for a service-based, cloudy future state of agile application development that was rare then, and de rigueur now.

Now well into the early majority phase of enterprise market adoption, New Relic prides itself on remaining a fully SaaS-based, multi-tenant platform that encourages daily hands-on use by Dev and Ops team members to reduce MTTR and democratize a shift-left, DevOps culture among its customer base.

Enterprise teams can monitor and resolve application issues from a business outcome or KPI view, using log data correlated from agents in on-prem datacenters, cloud environments and serverless/MSA container instances. Filtered exceptions from New Relic can kick off events in the customer’s collaboration or service management platform of choice.

The company recently acquired Israel-based AI Ops firm SignifAI to add the ability to correlate application data feeds across more than 60 operations monitoring and CI/CD tools into a single dashboard view.
