TIBCO: Teaming with customers to ease enterprise transformation

After more than two decades of R&D and acquisitions, TIBCO is the stalwart integration vendor who could realistically claim their ‘sweet spot’ is in just about any aspect of enterprise IT they wanted to go after.

Instead, after going private again in 2014, the company focused on simplifying their go-to-market message, sales and delivery approach, to make it easier for customers and partners to see inside the organization’s large product portfolio and identify where they can realize value with quick wins as starting points toward larger transformation goals.

Their famed message bus, API integration, event and process management tools from the earliest service-based days are still there. They are now a part of the core “Interconnect Everything” portfolio designed to integrate cloud services and on-premises systems in a hybrid IT environment. A similarly robust governance and data management suite now includes the recent SnappyData in-memory data platform acquisition.

TIBCO Augmented Intelligence seems to be their most enhanced product line over the last few years. The visibility and data analytics portfolio includes real-time capabilities for visualizing, monitoring, forecasting and reacting to high-volume data flows. By tracking their own journey with transparency alongside customers’ transformation stories, they are situated to lead by example, as well as learning from winners at higher-performing enterprises.
