The first step in any IT or digital transformation initiative is to clean up existing messes. In many large organizations, the biggest mess is the rats’ nest of dependencies interlinking the numerous systems, services, applications, and environments that make up a complex IT landscape.
Crosscode gives such organizations a handle on this problem via its dependency mapping solution. What makes Crosscode special: it discovers dependencies at the code level via introspection, a technique that provides visibility into modern code binaries independent of the source code.
For older languages like COBOL, Crosscode can inspect the source code for dependencies. If all else fails (in unusual cases of bespoke dependencies), analysts can enter the dependencies into Crosscode manually.
The end product: a map of all the dependencies across the entire IT landscape, enabling organizations to manage the risks of change and to develop a plan of attack for modernization.
