InfluxData: Time Series Database for Kubernetes Insights and More

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

InfluxData manages the InfluxDB open source time series database. Time series data include events, metrics, logs, and traces – all the data necessary to support an observability platform for Kubernetes, or any other environment that generates such data.

InfluxData also drives the Telegraf open source project. Telegraf is a lightweight, open source server agent that collects metrics. It compiles to a single binary with no dependencies, making it ideal for monitoring Kubernetes and its containers, as well as databases, cloud platforms, IoT sensors and devices, and more.

InfluxDB can also collect data from Prometheus, a popular Kubernetes monitoring tool, making it particularly useful for supporting cloud-native observability requirements.
