An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
I last covered Quick Base in March 2016 when it was fresh off of its spinoff from parent company Intuit. At the time, the company offered a no-code platform suitable primarily for business users, aka ‘citizen developers,’ to build departmental applications with.
Nevertheless, the company had designs on the enterprise – the main reason it separated from Intuit, with its small business focus.
In the intervening time, Quick Base has expanded its platform to a more complete low-code offering, where professional developers would feel just as at home as the citizen developers the vendor had always served.
More recently, the company has added sophisticated governance features, and with its 2019 acquisition of Cloudpipes, Quick Base now offers advanced low-code integration as well.
This combination of low-code, governance, and integration rounds out what I call ‘enterprise low-code’ – and Quick Base clearly has a solid offering in this space.
