An Intellyx BrainCandy Update
Pinpoint is building a collaboration solution for improving individual developer experience and team efficiency atop its predictive capabilities as an agile software development productivity dashboard for managers. (Intellyx last covered Pinpoint in March 2019, and quite a bit has changed since then, including the logo.)
As global events force many companies to rethink remote work policies and the ability to conduct Agile sprints in-person, developer engagement and satisfaction becomes critical to successful software delivery. Too much emphasis on managerial oversight and performance analytics, without enough personal insight and impact analysis, can make developers feel like they are under surveillance and sap morale.
Pinpoint’s service-based platform doesn’t dictate any particular development language, delivery toolchain or deployment style. Instead, it provides a unified user entry point with curated relevant data from all of the developer or manager’s authorized tools, correlating things like project status, source code control events, ITSM alerts or support tickets, software updates and communication feeds on Slack, email or elsewhere.
Managers share many productivity views with development teams, so the whole team can benefit from more accurate progress tracking and forecasting based on ML processing of group and global agile performance data. Coding work, reviews, issue resolutions and retrospectives can be optimally assigned and managed for more reliable software delivery outcomes.
Small teams of less than 10 members can use the service for free forever.
