Banyan Security: Zero-trust access for engineering teams

Banyan Security offers a hybrid IT remote access platform that replaces VPN-oriented authorization approaches by validating device and user activity risk profiles against least-privilege security policies.

With the coronavirus pandemic driving increased cyberattacks and forcing a digital workforce out of the office, sensitive development and production systems accessed by engineering teams in particular represent the greatest point of vulnerability for most companies.

Banyan has reframed the zero-trust security concept for today’s distributed work environments, overlaying the company’s authorization, IAM and SSO tools with device-side risk profiling, a cloud-based policy command center and an application-side proxy that throttles network access to a cloud-hosted server, container image, or a SaaS resource if a risk threshold is violated.

With centralized policy and risk management, and distributed enforcement of access rules, remote DevSecOps teams, development partners, and business partners attain appropriate access privileges without per-system maintenance overhead.
