Blaize offers a combination of hardware and software for high-performance, low-latency AI inferencing at edge computing locations.
Today, Blaize’s technology is particularly useful for video-centric AI applications including physical security, retail, manufacturing/Industry 4.0, and autonomous vehicles. However, it is suitable for any situation where AI inferencing can take advantage of edge-based processing.
The company’s AI Studio software provides a ‘code-free’ environment for building and training AI models that empowers diverse teams including subject-matter experts to participate in model and application creation. While such teams would likely include an AI data scientist, it would lighten the burden on such rare professionals.
Unlike GPUs, Blaize’s hardware runs both AI and non-AI workloads. In addition, AI Studio runs on Kubernetes, enabling customers to run multiple applications on the Blaize hardware while taking advantage of the resilience and scalability benefits that Kubernetes provides.
