Blaize: Purpose-Built AI Chips Plus Software for Smart Vision Applications

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we last covered Blaize in December 2020, the company offered a combination of hardware and software for high-performance, low-latency AI inferencing at edge computing locations.

Blaize continues to mature its offering. Its AI-centric computer chips offer parallel processing and a graph stream processor architecture for high-performance, real-time AI inferencing, primarily for computer vision applications.

Its AI Studio software provides a DevOps-centric development environment including an SDK, as well as DataOps and MLOps capabilities for handling the full lifecycle of AI-centric applications people build on its hardware platform.

Blaize offers two form factors for its chips: one ‘credit card’ size and the other ‘stick of gum’ size for appliance and embedded systems vendors to include in their products.

The Blaize platform is also finding enterprise traction in various edge server configurations.
