Codejig: Blockly-Based Low-Code Tool with Midmarket ERP Platform

An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief

Codejig offers a low-code tool based upon the Google Blockly client-side JavaScript library for creating block-based visual programming languages and editors, thus providing a straightforward snap-together approach to creating business logic (the other Blockly-based low-code tool we’ve covered is from SempTech).

The Codejig low-code tool takes a code generation approach, creating a combination of Java, JavaScript, and HTML that it packages into JAR files within Docker containers for deployment either on-premises or in the cloud.

Codejig also offers a midmarket ERP platform suitable for a range of midsize companies. Codejig’s ERP customers can use the low-code capabilities to customize their ERP deployments.

Codejig takes a metadata comparison approach to resolving conflicts when updating customized versions of the ERP application, thus helping its customers avoid the version lock-in challenges that often come with enterprise application customization.

This combination of low-code customizability and metadata-driven application functionality also serves Codejig’s partner community, which can build custom vertical ERP applications or other applications using Codejig’s low-code capabilities.
