An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
In the four years since we last spoke to SIOS in September 2017, the company has entirely revamped its product offering.
Today, it offers high availability clustering for databases, operating systems, and cloud and server configurations, helping its customers migrate SQL Server, SAP HANA, Oracle, or other databases to the cloud.
In addition to its high availability cluster software disaster recovery for the cloud, SIOS also offers these products for hybrid cloud or on-premises data center environments.
The latest offering from SIOS is a new version of its Protection Suite for Linux that enhances data integrity protection in Microsoft Azure as well as faster recovery times for SAP HANA databases.
Included in its Azure data integrity offering is a fencing mechanism that increases the partition tolerance of distributed Azure databases, maintaining data integrity even when servers in a cluster lose communication with each other, a condition we call ‘split brain.’
