An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
We covered Lightstep in December 2018 and October 2020. ServiceNow acquired the company in May 2021 and maintains it as a separate division.
Lightstep offers a cloud native reliability platform that delivers monitoring, observability, and incident response for DevOps and SRE teams. It specializes in facilitating the analysis of telemetry data, providing the insights these teams require to manage the systems under their care.
Lightstep has also driven the maturation and adoption of the OpenTelemetry project, which is a collection of open-source tools for instrumenting, generating, collecting, and exporting telemetry data.
