Automation Anywhere: ‘Push-Button’ Automation for Digital Workers and Autonomous Processes

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

When we last covered Automation Anywhere in January 2019, the RPA vendor was focusing its efforts on creating a ‘digital workforce,’ where bots worked alongside humans.

Then in January 2022, Automation Anywhere acquired task mining vendor Fortress IQ. Automation Anywhere now combines task discovery, RPA, and bot monitoring and management into an end-to-end digital workforce offering.

The company envisions these ‘digital workers’ or managed bots as working hand-in-hand with humans, especially in the front office. Customer service reps, for example, can now have access to various automations with push-button simplicity.

For back-office processes, Automation Anywhere’s goal is full automation, removing the human from the process entirely.

Both parts of this automation story help organizations better leverage scarce workers by moving repetitive tasks off their plates.

The company also helps organizations consolidate and streamline as well as automate processes – essential precursors for effective process transformation.
