Synchrony Systems: Rapid Legacy Application Modernization beyond Turnkey Migration

An Intellyx Brain Candy Update

Since we last covered Synchrony Systems in February 2019, the company has expanded its line-by-line legacy modernization tool into a full-lifecycle platform.

Synchrony can help organization migrate mainframe COBOL applications to C# or Java or from a legacy 4GL EGL platform to a modern architecture, language, and platform of choice.

Synchrony can also transform Smalltalk applications to run as modern object-oriented code while retaining the functionality of the original design.

Synchrony is now expanding this migration-centric platform offering by adding software-assisted modernization. Companies that leverage this capability can update their business logic manually as they migrate legacy code to modern languages and platforms.

While the platform-based code migration is largely turnkey, the software-assisted modernization allows for ongoing interactions with developers at Synchrony customers or partners.
