An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
We last covered NETSCOUT in March 2022. Since that time, the company has rolled out its Omnis Security Solution, a portfolio of cybersecurity products that include network visibility, threat detection, investigation, and protection.
NETSCOUT’s core technology centers on enrichment of deep packet inspection data that generates what the company calls ‘smart data.’ Such smart data provide extensive real-time network visibility for operators to manage their networks.
NETSCOUT has also been in the cybersecurity business since its 2015 acquisition of DDoS protection vendor Arbor Networks.
With the announcement of Omnis, NETSCOUT is bringing further enrichment of its smart data with additional cybersecurity visibility, placing it in a competitive position within the network detection and response (NDR) market.
The company refers to this smart data-centric approach to NDR as “visibility without borders.” Included in this solution are threat detection, network edge protection, and integration – all supported by the deep visibility that NETSCOUT’s well-differentiated smart data provide.
