Since we last covered Clumio in September 2019, the company has shifted its primary data protection focus from VMware to AWS, as well as Microsoft 365 data.
Clumio offers backup and restore services for all AWS data stores, including S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and others, as well as data in databases running in EC2.
Clumio dedupes, compresses, and encrypts data before backing them up in airgapped, immutable data stores. Clumio is thus well-suited for ransomware protection.
Recovery can apply from single files to complex multi-service environments, giving customers ‘time machine’ rollback capabilities as well as more granular data restoration.
Because Clumio provides data protection for SQL databases in EC2 as well as AWS data services, it is also well-suited for protecting enterprise data during cloud migrations.
