An Intellyx BrainCandy Update
Since our last update with NETSCOUT in 2022, the firm has leaned on their network security bona fides and deep packet inspection capabilities to help erase the opaque boundaries between teams using an array of IT Ops, SecOps and NetOps monitoring vendor tools.
Their new Visibility Without Borders Platform offering provides carrier-grade instrumentation, watching security events and telemetry from hundreds of thousands of streaming data points across network boundaries. The goal here is to identify and respond to inter-network threats that may not appear within the classic departmental system silos.
So for instance, a DDoS attack may be observed first by application teams as a performance lag, and internal threat hunters may follow the packets to find a possible on-premises source of malware setting a target for that attack. Filtered alerts can then be sent back to an ITSM or SIEM platform or the relevant team’s observability tools.
The firm also recently announced a new version of their Omnis Cyber Intelligence solution with machine learning-powered event metadata enrichment, threat analysis and remediation capabilities.
