CloudBees: Finding faults faster with Launchable’s AI-driven test capabilities

CloudBeesAn Intellyx Brain Candy Update

CloudBees just announced their acquisition of Launchable, an AI-driven test analysis solution that prioritizes and triages anomalies within automated test and release cycles, allowing developers to pinpoint critical problems without sorting through irrelevant or false positive test results.

Cloud native software supply chains are becoming more distributed and complex than ever as multiple development teams and services contribute to every release. Now, with AI co-pilots in the mix, there’s simply too much application and infrastructure code, and too many related tests for time-constrained teams of human developers and engineers to reasonably watch within each automated deployment.

Launchable was built by the contributors of CloudBees’ ubiquitous open-source Jenkins CI/CD toolset, so it can be used as a module within their complete enterprise CloudBees CI/CD suite. It can also work with other testing and release management tools and repositories to predictively select, run, and report results on only the tests most likely to produce significant failures. A free compute-limited developer trial edition is also available.

Intellyx last covered CloudBees in 2020, 2019, and 2018, and Launchable in 2019.
