An Intellyx Brain Candy Brief
DataAgent automatically builds a topology of an organization’s IT environment from its infrastructure to its applications and leverages this topology to identify and remediate the root causes of incidents.
When an incident occurs, DataAgent creates Git pull requests that contain information associated with the incident, including its overall context, remediation plan, history of any previous actions, and a report to operators.
Following GitOps and infrastructure-as-code practices, DataAgent represents remediations declaratively (in YAML, for example), enabling operators to approve or modify remediation plans as necessary, as well as providing remediations that are safe to roll back.
DataAgent’s remediation loops are self-learning: their ability to identify and remediate incidents improves over time.
DataAgent’s remediation approach de-emphasizes the need for telemetry, optimizing the observability necessary to address issues in production, thus reducing the cost of acquiring, managing, and storing telemetry data.
Intellyx hot take: DataAgent’s topology is a real-time, cross-repo knowledge graph, which is both well-differentiated from and more powerful than competitors’ offerings.
Intellyx cold take: DataAgent’s core differentiators and value proposition are overly technical, and thus IT decision makers may struggle to understand why they should purchase DataAgent, especially if such a purchase would lead to replacing an alternative product.
