An Intellyx Brain Candy Update
We last covered Boardwalktech in May 2019. Boardwalktech offers proprietary digital ledger technology that can maintain immutable records of individual data over time, thus answering the question ‘what changed?’ at the level of a single value.
Boardwalktech works with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. It can thus support collaborative Excel spreadsheets, tracking individual values and formulas across multiple instances of a particular worksheet.
Boardwalktech can also bring the appropriate context to data in data lakes, even when such information is missing necessary metadata or when the data are unstructured.
For example, if an email stored in a data lake references a particular business object like a customer or invoice, Boardwalktech can track suggested changes to values in such objects, say a quantity in an invoice. Boardwalktech then supports business rules that can take action based upon the context of the changes to those values.
