When we last wrote about Nacelle in November 2022, the company offered a headless (API-based) eCommerce platform that supported composable back-end elements and front-end channels.

Nacelle logo Intellyx BCThe company has since pivoted. Nacelle now offers an AI-driven personalization engine that improves conversion via the acquisition phase of the customer journey where most personalization solutions fall over.

Users are generally anonymous during the acquisition phase, especially with current privacy restrictions and Google’s constraints on the Google Analytics tool. Nacelle addresses these challenges via a combination of clickstream intent and paid campaign data analysis.

Ecommerce professionals work iteratively with Nacelle’s AI agent to fine tune the inferences from these data sources until the AI understands the desired brand voice. This brand voice becomes the central context for all user interactions.

The AI then recommends the optimal customer segmentation and user personas, again with human input. The AI agent leverages all available relevant data including the product catalog.

After a few weeks of learning from user behavior, it is then able to make optimal product recommendations, even during the customer acquisition phase where most recommendation engines yield poor results.
